Hackney Braves Vintage Tee (Blue)
£29.00
The wigwams and teepees in Shoreditch Park are a give-away to the roots of one of London's most populous inner city areas. Red Indians are indeed indigenous round here, although when Chief Dancing Bear was tragically killed in a hatchet swallowing accident in 1932, their control of the area ended. Derek Barrabus-Smythe, a local sheriff and soon to be Mayor of Hackney, seized power but granted the Indians rights to the land. By 1934 the area had forty six super casinos, and work on building the world's largest American football stadium was well under way. Unfortunately for the Hackney Braves who were to reside there, they had to wait over four decades to play their first competitive game as no other part of London had bothered to found an American football team. As a result, the club had more practice than any other, and as we all know - practice makes perfect. The Braves are London's most successful team with no less than 7 Megabowl titles. Jump on the Glory bandwagon with this awesome vintage slim fit tee celebrating their first Megabowl win in 1978.
The design is discharge printed in white, onto a slim fit tshirt. When you first see the tshirt, the print will appear hard, with visible cracks in it - especially if you stretch it. This is part of the process - when you wash the garment for the first time these will disappear and you'll be left with a beautiful vintage feel print (see 2nd picture). See the FAQ section for tips on product care.
